What most calculators get wrong

Three rules that change your numbers, handled correctly here.

Mixed income earners can still elect 8%
Some tools say mixed earners are barred from the 8% rate. They are not. What they lose is the ₱250,000 deduction on the freelance side, because their compensation income has already absorbed it. Tick the mixed income box above to see the difference.
Self-employed Pag-IBIG is 4%, not 2%
Contribution tables usually show the employee share only. A self-employed member is treated as both employee and employer, so the real figure is ₱400 per month at the ₱10,000 Maximum Fund Salary, not ₱200.
Foreign clients are zero-rated, not tax-free
Services billed to a foreign client and paid in foreign currency carry 0% VAT, but graduated income tax still applies. Very few calculators model this case at all.

Rates current for 2026: SSS 15% of Monthly Salary Credit (₱5,000 to ₱35,000), PhilHealth 5% (₱10,000 to ₱100,000), Pag-IBIG 4% capped at a ₱10,000 Maximum Fund Salary. Income tax follows the TRAIN graduated brackets.
