Who we are

Data we collect

We collect account data such as your name and email address; business and billing data you enter into the service, including clients, projects, invoices, timesheets, expenses, and rates; and payment data processed by our payment providers (PayMongo and LemonSqueezy). Takda does not store full card numbers. Card processing is handled entirely by the PCI-compliant payment provider.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service (timesheets, invoicing, and related records), process subscription and credit payments, send transactional email such as invoices, receipts, approval requests, and payment reminders, and understand product usage through analytics so we can improve Takda.

Legal basis and the Data Privacy Act

We process personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules, under the oversight of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). Processing is based on the contract we have with you to provide the service, our legitimate interest in operating and improving it, and legal obligations such as tax record keeping.

Sharing

We share data only with third-party processors needed to run the service: payment providers (PayMongo, LemonSqueezy), email delivery services, hosting and database infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase), and analytics. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as required for tax and legal records afterward. You may request deletion of your account data; we honor such requests subject to legally mandated retention periods.

Card transaction records, including the receipt issued for each charge and the payment method brand and last four digits, are retained for 545 days from the transaction date. Records for other payment methods are retained for 180 days. These periods exist so that we can respond to payment disputes raised through your bank or card issuer. We never store full card numbers. Records are deleted once the retention period ends and the account has closed.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email support@takda.dev from your account email address.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted and role-based, and workspace data is isolated per organization. If we become aware of a personal data breach that requires notification, we will notify affected users and the National Privacy Commission within the timelines set by the Data Privacy Act, including the 72-hour notification requirement.
